WOT is a free service that provides web site reputation information for users. You can download it as a simple add-on for your browser that determines the trustworthiness of websites based on direct testimonies from the users themselves.
The testimonies are compiled into a general indicator of a websites trustworthiness, which you can easily view through a reputation icon on your browser window.
What I personally like about this extention is the little icons that appear beside links telling you if the link is safe to visit or not. This is espicially useful in emails, where you can know if that link a friend sent you is viable and safe or not.
This extention is espicially useful for novice users who are not sure about what links might be safe and what might not.
