Free iPhone Unlock Software Release

This is the real deal – unlock your iPhone for use with any SIM in less than an hour. Anyone with some computer experience will be able to follow this tutorial, since i’ve omitted all techincal details.

Step 1: Prepair your phone to install software

First of all make sure you upgrade your phone to latest firmware (1.02). This tutorial assumes you have version 1.02. To confirm, go to Settings → General → About → Version. Modem Firmware should also say 03.14.08_G. If you have an older version, you need to get your phone updated using iTunes. It should ask you to update when you connect your phone.

The phone needs to be “jailbroken” before you can upload software to it. If you are on Windows, i highly recommend downloading iBrickr, which i will use as an example through this tutorial. Extract all files to a directory on your PC, and run ibrickr.exe. Follow the instructions on screen. For more info, and video tutorial visit Nate True’s website. Important: Make sure you don’t have iTunes 7.4 or later! If you do, you need an older version of iTunesMobileDevice.dll in the same directory as iBrickr.

Modify Your CD-ROM to Watch DVD Movies

Got an old pc with no dvd drive in it? Why not mod it’s CD rom drive to play DVD’s this weekend?

There are two types of CD-ROM drives we can mod:
24x to 40x
40x or higher
Drives slower than 24x are too old to be modded.
24x to 40x CD ROMs

Laser Head Adjustments:

The track pitch of CDs is 1.6 microns, and the track pitch of DVDs is only 0.8 microns. The minimum length of track pits of CDs is 0.843mm, and the minimum length of track pits of DVDs is 0.293mm. That’s why DVD discs can store much more data in the size of a CD.
Pinpointing this situation, we need to adjust the laser head so it can read discs with smaller track pitchs and shorter track pits. Open up the CD-ROM drive, do you see a lens on the rail? That’s the laser head. On the side of the laser head, there’s a screw you can adjust.
This is the key of this mod.

NetBios Hacking – 1on1

NetBIOS Hacking

For this tutorial, We used Microsoft?s Windows XP Home Edition.

-What is it?-
NetBIOS Hacking is the art of hacking into someone else?s computer through your computer. NetBIOS stands for ?Network Basic Input Output System.? It is a way for a LAN or WAN to share folders, files, drives, and printers.

-How can this be of use to me?-
Most people don?t even know, but when they?re on a LAN or WAN they could possibly have their entire hard drive shared and not even know. So if we can find a way into the network, their computer is at our disposal.

-What do I need?-
Windows OS
Cain and Abel (Oxid.it)

Increase Safari’s (win) rendering speed

Apple’s native browser Safari has been released for PC platforms today but many found it to be more of a bloat app with show render times. The rendering speed is increased with a simple modification in this location:

“C:\Program Files\Safari\Safari.resources”

NOTE: Make sure Safari is closed!

Open up Defaults.plist and add the following line:

<key>WebKitInitialTimedLayoutDelay</key>
<real>0.25</real>

This should make Safari Render faster :)
