Here we are again with yet another shareware iPhone app cracked to be free!
iPhone Video Recorder is a powerful iPhone oriented video recorder produced by DreamCatcher. iPhone Video Recorder records audio and video to the compressed mpeg4 format, so the recording is space saving, an-hour-high-quality recording will be a file as small as 60MB. iPhone Video Recorder boasts a frame rate up to 15fps which guarantees better recording performance . With iPhone Video Recorder, recording is easy and enjoyable, you may play back the video, download it to a computer, upload to Youtube, or send it out by email as you wish.
The downside to this app is it’s shareware nature, although it is coded quite well and we love it! If you feel the need, you can go ahead and dish out about $20 and get the app the official way….or if you just don’t see the need to pay then follow these instructions:
1. Download & extract the zip file to your Desktop. Open WinSCP and connect to your iPhone via SSH
Note: App updated to latest version v1.2.4! Re-download and replace previous files to get the new version.
2. Go to the root/Applications folder and Drop the extracted folder in there
3. Next go into the videorecorder.app folder and right-click on the file iphonevideorecorder and set permission to 0755
4. Reboot your phone
Enjoy the full version of the app!

Actually there is no need to reboot, the application will show up after next install or uninstall procedure using Installer.

I tried to use WinSCP and FileZilla, but it didn’t worked.
Now I use iPhoneBrowser.
I copied the folder to my iphone, but I can’t set permission to 0755 with that program.

I’m new to PC, i just downloaded WinSCP, how the helldo i get my iPhone to syncw/this program, and where the hell is the root/applications folder. I tried to open the file in WinSCP, but it says “host doesnot exist”…..????????????????????????????????

not sure why it isn’t running. The iphone is killing it for some reason. Run it from a terminal session then check the dmesg log and you see this:
seatbelt: hook..execve() killing pid 147: outside of container && !i_can_has_debugger

I put it into 2 different phone.
1 running 1.1.4….no problem
1 running 2.01 ….no go…keeps crashing…
i guess it only works up till 1.1.4…nothing higher than that…

I connected my 1.1.4 8 GB to iphone pc siute. I selected ( files ) then opened Applicatins folder. I drag the extracted file in the application folder and point to the application and right clicked. I selected properties. I saw a number value 644. I changed to 755 because it is not accetpting 4 digit. I restarted my iphone. The application is working perfectly except it hang one time only. Thank you very much for this application.

if you have iphone v1.1.4 it does work if first you install the app from installer. then access it via ssh . ow you have to copy the file into the app folder on the iphone and replace all that need replaceing. ie click yes to all. then it shud work fine

hi, please follow the example below. because i have managed to install this on my iphone.
1. Install SSH on your phone and switch it on.
2. Download winscp to access iphone using username/password = root/alpine.
3. Download the video recorder to your pc and extract.
4. Connect to your iphone using winsp, put the ip address of your phone(must be connected to wifi) and get the IP address there.
5. After connected, you will see 2 windows, on your left, your local disk while on your right, your iphone directories go to ‘Applications’ folder and paste the ‘videorecorder.app’ folder inside.
6. Restart your iphone and you should see the videorecorder icon on your iphone.

I downloaded Winscp into my desktop. I simply dun know how to fill in the following: -
In Session: What’s Host Name? What’s Private Key File? What Protocol should I select (SFTP; STP or FTP)?

Hostname is your iPhone IP address(it needs to be connected to the WIFI in order you to get the IP address)
Go Setting -> Wi-Fi -> click ‘more’(small arrow pointing to right) on the wi-fi network you are connected to. You should see your phone IP address.
in WINscp:
- username: root and password: alpine
- leave the private key field empty.
- for File Protocol drop down menu, please choose scp.
- Click ‘connect’ and there should be a windows open(meaning that you have successfully connected.
- Drag the videorecorder.app to your ‘Application’ directory(overwrite or rename the current one)
- Restart your iphone and start using the application without limit.
Note: I am assuming you have installed the video recorder application from the Installer.
