Popular iPhone hacker geohotz has yet again impressed the iPhone community with his latest unlock software.
Geohotz has discovered the secrets to unlocking 1.1.3 + 1.1.2 out of the box iPhones! It is also claimed that this does not even destroy your seczone which places it as a better unlock alternative to anySIM.
So how do you use it?
Well there are two ways:
Method 1 (Official geohotz instructions)
1. Download these:
gunlock and the secpack from http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/ or the blog
the 4.02.13 fls from http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/baseband/ MIRROR
2. Downgrade your phone to 1.0.2. See all the great tutorials online to do this. Your baseband won’t be downgraded, this is normal. This will probably work on other versions too, but 1.1.2 doesn’t lose wifi on bb access.
3. Kill CommCenter and run “gunlock secpack ICE04.02.13_G.fls”
4. Reload CommCenter. For some reason my phone was in brick mode. Use the elite team bricktool to get out.
5. Enjoy your 1.1.2 OTB unlocked iPhone
Method 2 (Recommended)
Add the official Haklabs source to your installer :
http://i.haklabs.com
Go to the Sources tab in installer > Click Edit > Now click Add :
Once done, look under the Haklabs category for “Auto Gunlock”
Run it and enjoy! No downgrading required in this method.

I ran the process above and everything seems fine, until I remove my AT&T SIM and insert an Airtel SIM (India). I receive the message “Different SIM detected. Please connect to iTunes”.
I’m 1.1.2 OTB (3B48b)
Jailbreak using the iClarified process
Installed BSD and then ran the Auto Gunlock.
Any suggestions?

okay so I tryed gunlock from installer without adding the sorce, I also am downgraded for 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 could this effect it?

WARNING PLEASE BE CAREFUL! I just got my iphone broke doing this, I got a pop up saying it needs repair MAKE SURE TO PUT IT FLY MODE ON! I hope I can get it to restore. its a paper weight now

Sorry for posting so much, This will be VERY helpful for those who made the same mistake as I, If it said “iphone needs repair call apple” DON’T!
put it in restore mode (even if it is bricked at start up it is still possible to restore)
Upgrade to 1.1.3 then downgrade to 1.1.1!

okay, so now I’m upgrading to 1.1.3 (Ibricker Jailbreak edition) Hopfully this will fix the ‘no signal’ problem at least the annoying ‘Please insert correct sim card is gone’

Hi guys!
I’ve unlock my iPhone(1.1.2 OTB, jailbraked, 4.6 bootloader) with Auto Gunlock (0.2 from haklabs) + iWorld(1.0).
I selected my country in iWorld and reboot iPhone but I still have some problems. My Carrier is Tele2 (Russia, St-Petersburg) and with it’s sim card I can do everything except answering on incoming calls. Send/receive sms + make outgoing call + gprs work fine. I’ve tried another carriers in my city and with their sim cards all is ok. Also I’ve noticed that iphone show “RUS” instead of my carrier name(Tele2).
Can anybody help me? Me by iWorld doesn’t know about my carrier?
