The Perfect iPSF Unlock Clone

iPhone SimFree (iPSF) was one of the first iPhone unlocking company that showed up with a software unlock for the iPhone. Ever since, their unlock method has been seen as superior to the popular (and free) anySIM method. Why so? Well anySIM unlocks do not last through iPhone software updates whereas iPSF unlocks have stood solid and are known to survive updates that come from apple.

Recently, popular iPhone hacker GeoHot released an unlock method that is a clone of the iPSF method. If you like the idea then follow the following guide and convert to his unlock.

Who can do this?

Anyone who has an iphone (bootblock 3.9) and running the latest 1.1.3 Firmware (including new baseband 4.03_13_g)

iPhone Gaming - Labyrinth 0.4 Download

Labyrinth was one of the best games created for the iPhone, it made good use of the phone’s accelerometers and showed the true potential of 3rd party apps for the iPhone. Unfortunately, the popular game was recently updated by its developer to v1.0 adding a timer (which was way too quick) and a demo only version…meaning that now the game was not free anymore.

The new version adds some new features like calibration and probably fixes some bugs…but the full game costs $7. If you think its worth it…go ahead and buy it, if not then we got your piece of cake! Download Labyrinth v0.4 and follow the following instructions to get it working :

1. Extract the zip file to your Desktop2. Open WinSCP and connect to your iPhone via SSH

3. Go to the root/Applications folder and Drop the extracted folder in there

4. Next go into the Labyrinth.app folder and right-click on the file labyrinth and set permission to 0755

5. Reboot your phone

Enjoy ;)

Getting a HDR effect using Photoshop

If you have an image where you have a really bright sky and/or a really dark foreground, do this in Photoshop:

1. Duplicate image to a second layer.
2. Image->Adjustments->Desaturate second layer. (Make it black and white.)
3. Image->Adjustments->Invert second layer. (Make it a negative.)
4. Do a 64 pixel gaussian blur on the second layer. (Low pass filter. Prevents loss of high frequncy contrast on surfaces.)
5. Set the second layer to soft light.

This will make the bright portions of the image darker, and dark portions of the image lighter. This also gives the image a lot more realistic look.

Too lazy to do those step’s yourself? Grab the Photoshop Actions File
